Quotes

The book

Through the book Man and the Sea, two great photographers , Yann Arthus -Bertrand and Brian Skerry cross their goals to give us a unique journey into the heart of the oceans. Between the sky and underwater views , their dialogue reveals the beauty and fragility of the marine world . Exceptional images in this book and the accompanying text , written by the team of GoodPlanet , bring us a new look at these scopes that cover 70 % of the planet . They also invite us to understand the relationship between the oceans and encourage men to protect those who give us life ... Editorial

In parallel with the production of a film Planet Ocean, presented for the first 20 years at the Rio Summit , the photographer wants to achieve a major book on the subject. A large format, over 300 pages , 200 photographs aerial and underwater , 10 large portraits of activists and experts (Paul Watson, Rob Steward, Isabelle Autissier , etc. . ) . What better way to pay tribute to the oceans as a source of life being threatened ? The book will present with great clarity , the entire operation of the oceans. The originality of this work will be to the relationship between man and the ocean in the heart of the global issue of sustainable development. That is to say, to include the topic in the global issue of sustainable development. It is therefore not to describe ecosystems but to show their relationship with humans .
